What To Expect
Refinishing Existing Floors
1. Estimate
- Calculate area to be refinished
- Discuss stain color and finish options
2. Schedule date to start project.
- Sign contract
- Submit deposit
All furniture to be moved by homeowner or Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring can move furniture for an additional charge (We do not carry insurance for moving furniture and will not be responsible for damaged goods).
4. Depending on size of project, it will typically take 3-4 days to complete a job.
New Floor Installations
1. Estimate
- Calculate area to be installed
- Choose species, width and grade
- Discuss stain color and finish options
2. Schedule date to start project.
- Sign contract
- Submit deposit
3. Order wood/ schedule delivery date
- At least one week acclimation required
- Wood will need to acclimate in the home, not garage.
4. All furniture to be moved by homeowner or Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring can move furniture for a additional charge (We do not carry insurance for moving furniture and will not be responsible for damaged goods).
Customer Responsibilities
Remove all appliances and furniture from work area prior to scheduled arrival date. Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring will not be responsible for damage to appliances or furniture left in the work area.
Please remove all wall ornaments, clothing from closets, etc. Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring will not assume any responsibility for any damage done from failure to do so.
A 220 outlet must be accessible and available for Alex Smith Hardwood Flooring to use (electric range or electric dryer outlet).
